Sleep Disorder Specialist

Position Summary/Essential Duties:
As a Registered Polysomnography Technologist at University Hospitals, you will perform polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and Home Sleep Apnea Test, patient care and education under the general supervision of the Manager and Medical Directors. Your comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders will be a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform appropriate scoring of both adult and pediatric sleep studies.
- Conduct testing procedures PSG, titration studies, MSLT, MWT, PAP Nap, HSAT, and other sleep procedures, providing effective care according to UHC Sleep Center protocols.
- Identify and correct machine malfunctions.
- Collaborate with Sleep Center staff and members of other disciplines to ensure a strong team and contribute to the achievement of operational goals.
- Provide education and age-appropriate care to patients and families through the entire age spectrum.
- Take responsibility for adherence to professional standards, self-development, and participation in quality improvement activities.
- Have knowledge of proper use of PPE.
