Role and Responsibilities:

A Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the workplace. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and supplying designated areas within the building (including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and restroom sanitation).
  • Keeping the facility and surrounding property in a tidy and orderly state.
  • Disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as desks, door handles, office equipment, and telephones.
  • Cleaning windows and mirrors to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Collecting and disposing of waste materials.
  • Conducting and documenting routine inspections and maintenance tasks.
  • Alerting management to any deficiencies or repair needs.
  • Performing minor repairs as necessary.
  • Stocking and organizing supply rooms efficiently.
  • Collaborating effectively with other staff members.
  • Adhering to procedures for the safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Complying with all health and safety regulations.
  • Following an established cleaning schedule.
  • Completing any additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Capability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for long durations.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in handling heavy cleaning equipment and machinery.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Strong integrity and ability to work independently.
• Capacity to collaborate with others, follow instructions, and maintain flexible scheduling as required by the clinic.
• Experience with various cleaning equipment is a plus.
