This team is responsible for the infrastructure that supports the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books.

Responsibilities:

Support and manage the orchestration service for object storage, ensuring measurement and monitoring of availability, latency, and overall system health.


  • Develop, operate, and maintain SRE tools and applications.
  • Engage in enhancing the entire lifecycle of services from conception through deployment, operations, and refinement.
  • Analyze logs and telemetry data by crafting monitoring and automation scripts.
  • Participate in on-call duties and release management rotations.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting during service-level impacting incidents.
  • Engage in code reviews, internal infrastructure enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Operate applications at scale across multiple geographically distributed public and private cloud environments to support Apple's mission-critical internal initiatives.
  • Collaborate with interdependent teams and clients through effective communication.
Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in computer science or a related field with 5+ years of experience.

At least 5 years in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-centric role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of the Linux Operating System, standard networking protocols, and components.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration using Kubernetes in public/private cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience managing numerous diverse systems with configuration management, infrastructure provisioning tools, or software delivery platforms (such as Terraform and Spinnaker).
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides opportunities for growth as you develop within your role. The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
