Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cloud-based software solutions using high-level languages such as Java, C, and C++.
  • Develop software with OpenSource products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs.
  • Work with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Pig.
  • Develop Restful services and integrate and extend FOSS/COTS products.
  • Develop software for UNIX/Linux operating systems and design Object Oriented systems.
  • Develop solutions integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products.
  • Develop and implement test plans and test scripts.
  • Generate technical documents in support of a software development project.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four years of experience.
  • Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience deploying applications in a cloud environment.
  • Understanding of Big-Data Cloud Scalability.
  • Experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
  • Experience with taxonomy construction for analytic disciplines, knowledge areas, and skills.
