The role involves the assembly and fabrication of various components, including semiconductor materials and electronic devices. The technician will execute routine tasks that require sound judgment and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret work orders and adhere to production schematics and sample assemblies.
- Align and position components accurately in relation to one another.
- Assemble devices using a variety of elements such as semiconductor components, optical parts, and electrical elements.
- Conduct intermediate to advanced assembly tasks, including cleaning, bonding, and testing of devices.
- Perform failure analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and enhance processes.
- Operate machinery for assembly and testing, making necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
- Execute quality control measures through go-no-go testing and inspections to ensure compliance with production standards.
- Maintain production throughput as directed and communicate any production challenges to supervisors.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives to support various production functions.
Work Environment:
- The position requires dexterity and coordination to handle small components, with the potential for sedentary work or prolonged standing.
- Must be capable of exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and working in a clean room environment with hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in semiconductor fabrication, assembly, or a related technical field.
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to high-quality standards and demonstrating attention to detail.
