Job Responsibilities and Qualifications
Neuro Med-Surgical Nurse
This position is within a 33-bed Neuro-Surgical Unit, specializing in care for patients undergoing spinal and neuro surgeries, including craniotomies. This unit collaborates closely with our Orthopedics unit, providing comprehensive care for joint replacements and fractures. We pride ourselves on fostering a learning environment for nurses to enhance their skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of human growth and development, assessment, treatment options, and care tailored to the age groups served.
- Promote exceptional customer service standards.
- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized patient care.
- Exhibit proficiency in performing technical nursing skills and procedures.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure in Tennessee or a compact state.
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Preferred: At least one year of clinical nursing experience.
- No travel required.
