Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal and Pediatric Respiratory Care department.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will provide medically prescribed respiratory care to patients of all ages, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway clearance techniques, and mechanical ventilation. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the NICU and pediatric units
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques
  • Perform mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory therapies
  • Conduct blood gas sampling and analysis, and non-invasive blood gas monitoring
  • Participate in patient education and smoking cessation counseling
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Ohio Respiratory Care Board (RCP) license
