We are seeking a highly qualified lecturer to join our Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at San José State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical and materials engineering, as well as contributing to the department’s research and service missions.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical and materials engineering, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the department.
- Advise students on academic and career goals.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities, such as committee work and professional development.
- Contribute to the department’s research mission by engaging in research and scholarly activities.
- Master’s degree in Chemical or Materials Engineering or a closely related field.
- Ph.D. in Chemical or Materials Engineering or a closely related field preferred.
- Experience in teaching and research in chemical and materials engineering.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
