Salary: $20 plus based on experience

Overview of the Role:

The Composite Material Specialist is responsible for the application of composite materials, including fiberglass, resins, and catalysts, onto mold surfaces using specialized equipment.

This role involves:

  • Executing routine mixing and application of composite materials with precision.
  • Maintaining optimal thickness on parts to ensure quality.
  • Utilizing both open mold and vacuum infusion techniques effectively.
  • Working with a variety of materials such as resins, gelcoats, fiberglass, foam, and structural adhesives.
  • Installing wooden and other components into fiberglass structures.
  • Operating various power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, and hoists, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Locating and preparing parts by interpreting detailed blueprints and work instructions.
  • Performing sanding tasks on fiberglass structures to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Assisting with glass rolling and other lamination duties as required.

This position is essential for maintaining the high standards of craftsmanship at HCB Yachts.
