Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at Conn-Selmer. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, and finished products to ensure they meet established standards.

Responsibilities:

* Perform inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, and finished products to ensure they meet established standards
* Collect and compile data based on said inspections
* Comply with Eastlake Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards
* Promote quality awareness and advancements in quality culture

Essential Functions:

* Perform inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, vendor-supplied components, work-in-process components, assemblies, or finished products according to established standards using physical, mechanical, or electrical measurements
* Identify and communicate components or processes that are performing at substandard yield
* Accept, reject, or quarantine product as required according to established standards and protocols
* Accurately document the results of the inspection/testing
* Work with Production Management and Quality to provide feedback to work associates regarding non-compliance issues
* Maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment

Pre-Determined Qualifications:

* Regular Attendance
* Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measure devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
* Mechanical and Manufacturing Process aptitude (Ability to read blueprints & material certifications)
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously
* Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours
* Ability to perform repetitive work
* Ability to safely lift 40 lbs. unassisted
* Maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment
* Ability to bring items into sharp focus visually, ability to feel and detect subtle material defects
