Welder Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at Weir. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding metal parts according to work orders and blueprints, ensuring quality and safety while preparing surfaces and selecting appropriate equipment as specified.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail. You will work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity, and will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to established safety procedures and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize various welding processes to join metal parts, while also conducting associated tasks like cutting and grinding.
• Conduct repairs on heavy mining equipment, including but not limited to buckets, using welding techniques and fabrication skills to restore functionality and structural integrity.
• Interpret and accurately read blueprints, sketches, and charts to understand project requirements.
• Execute welding processes with precision and expertise to refurbish large-scale mining equipment, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly in repairing heavy mining equipment.
• Preferred one year experience in Heavy equipment welding.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Certification in welding or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, sketches, and charts.
