Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at National Jewish Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patient vital signs, ensuring a smooth recovery after procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations, obtaining a thorough health history.
  2. Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during outpatient procedures, implementing and adjusting their physiologic condition as needed.
  3. Transfer patient care to other qualified providers post-operatively, ensuring continuity of care and patient safety.
  4. Support Minimally Invasive Diagnostic Center procedures, selecting and administering anesthetic, adjuvant, and accessory drugs and fluids.
  5. Manage patient airways and pulmonary status, implementing acute and chronic pain management modalities.
  6. Respond to emergency situations, providing airway management, emergency fluids, and basic or advanced cardiac life support techniques.
  7. Act as a resource to pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia nurses, partnering with supervising anesthesiologists to formulate care plans.

Requirements
  1. Master's Degree in Nursing required from an accredited Nurse Anesthetist Program.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a CRNA preferred.
  3. Colorado RN license, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license, CRNA certification by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA), and active BLS and ACLS required, PALS preferred.

This is a variable, per diem position that is not eligible for benefits. The PRN rate is $145 - $200 per hour, with a temporary additional pay of $200 with commitment.
