Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatments to patients with mental illness, emotional disorders, and/or substance abuse.
- Collaborate with primary care providers in integrated behavioral health sites to manage patients with mental health concerns.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical and psychiatric knowledge, including psychopharmacology and clinical skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Meet productivity expectations and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with department standards.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred.
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training.
- DEA license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine; completion of a 3-year residency in General Psychiatry OR current status as a 3rd-year resident in a General Psychiatry program.
- Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California.
- 1 year experience working in Psychiatry preferred; experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred.
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal interactions with clients and co-workers as a member of a multi-disciplinary community health team with a diverse multi-cultural population.
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently.
- Basic computer literacy ability to comply with department needs and expectations.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
Family Health Centers of San Diego offers a competitive salary range, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The base range for this position is $161.77. Final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
