Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential speech and language services within a school environment. The successful candidate will work with students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on enhancing their communication abilities and supporting their academic achievements.

Key Duties:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges.
  • Design and execute personalized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to individual student needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy and intervention services to students experiencing speech and language difficulties.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and school personnel to foster student development.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of services rendered.
  • Engage in IEP meetings and assist in formulating student objectives.
  • Monitor student progress and modify interventions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Current Maine State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience with school-aged children is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an educational framework.
