Overview


CommonSpirit Health is expanding its orthopedic services and is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to collaborate with a skilled Orthopedic Physician specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and seasoned Physician Assistants to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment, engaging with patients in a clinical setting while also assisting in surgical procedures alongside a highly productive orthopedic team.

Our dedicated team comprises various sub-specialized orthopedic physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, all committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The practice environment fosters mentorship and learning, particularly for those passionate about orthopedic surgery.

We pride ourselves on providing comprehensive services, including total joint replacements, management of fractures, arthroscopic procedures, and treatment for tendon and nerve injuries.

While prior operating room experience is not mandatory, our orthopedic physician is eager to mentor candidates interested in enhancing their surgical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:
  • Assess and manage a variety of medical conditions.
  • Formulate and execute detailed treatment strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and histories.

Communication:
  • Engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Deliver clear and concise medical information.
  • Promote a collaborative, patient-centered healthcare approach.

Documentation:
  • Maintain precise and current patient records.
  • Document clinical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Ensure adherence to coding and billing standards.

Diagnostic Procedures:
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
  • Perform necessary procedures.
  • Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic assessments.

Team Collaboration:
  • Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide consultative services to fellow healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:
  • Participate in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyze clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
  • Implement strategies to improve patient care and safety.

Compliance:
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
  • Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance mandates.
  • Engage in quality audits to ensure adherence to established standards.

Continuous Learning:
  • Keep informed about medical advancements and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional education and training.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in the relevant medical specialty.
  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or eligibility for licensure.

Pay Range: $68.08 /Hour
