  • Dispose of Waste: Dispose of all waste bags into the compactor, ensuring a clean and tidy workspace.
Stall Cleaning and Disinfecting

As an Aircraft Cleaning Specialist, you will also be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting the stalls in the cargo hold. This will involve:

  • Removing Debris and Waste: Remove all debris, straps, hay, and waste from the stalls, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Emptying Water Jugs: Empty water jugs and clean them for reuse.
  • Sweeping and Vacuuming: Sweep all excess debris from the stalls and vacuum any remaining debris.
  • Hosing Down Stalls: Hose down the stalls to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Scrubbing Walls and Floors: Scrub the walls, floors, doors, and ramps to remove any dirt or stains.
  • Inspecting Stalls: Inspect the stalls for any remaining debris or dirt.
  • Applying Degreaser Cleaner: Apply a degreaser cleaner to the stalls to remove any grease or stains.
  • Power Washing: Power wash each stall to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Spraying Walls and Ceilings: Spray the walls, doors, ceilings, and ramps with a disinfectant solution.
  • Scrubbing Away Stains: Scrub away any stains or dirt from the walls, floors, and ceilings.
  • Vacuuming Water and Debris: Vacuum any water, hay, or waste from the stalls until they are dry.
  • Closing Ramps: Close all ramps upon completion of the cleaning process.
  • Disposing of Waste: Dispose of all waste bags into the compactor.
  • Disinfecting Stalls: Disinfect the stalls to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
Requirements

To be successful as an Aircraft Cleaning Specialist, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Clean Driver's License: You must have a valid clean driver's license.
  • Port Authority ID: You must be able to obtain a Port Authority ID, including a driver classification and customs seal.
  • Forklift Operation: You must be able to operate a forklift and be willing to undergo training and certification.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Lifting Ability: You must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Other Tasks: You may be required to perform other tasks within the facility and other operations as needed.
