As a Ready-Mix Concrete Transporter, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality ready-mix concrete to our customers across the country.

In this position, you will be responsible for operating a ready-mix truck, promoting safety, and maintaining equipment according to federal, state, and company regulations. You will also coordinate with dispatch, inspect and maintain equipment, document information, and perform general physical activities such as cleaning the vehicle and lifting heavy loads.

The estimated salary for this position is $29.40 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, a pension plan, and paid vacation time.

Below, you will find the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Promote Safety by prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others throughout the operation.
  • Operate a ready-mix truck according to all federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, including thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Document and record information, complete daily mobile equipment reports, and accurately report any incidents or issues.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to ensure efficient communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform general physical activities, including cleaning the vehicle, climbing a ladder, and lifting up to 50 pounds.


Key Qualifications:
  • A valid commercial driver's license.
  • A clean driving record and ability to safely operate and control equipment.
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations, preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, depending on customer and company demands.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and tolerate loud noises.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to represent Vulcan Materials on job sites and while transporting product on public streets and highways.
