Job Overview

Transitional Services for New York, Inc. is a comprehensive mental health organization seeking an experienced Recreational Programs Coordinator to lead social activities and events for our residents in Queens Village, NY.

We offer a competitive salary of $26 per hour for this part-time, 28-hour bi-weekly position. A valid driver's license is required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating recreational activities, establishing relationships with corporate sponsors, and organizing special events that promote healthy social networks among our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate and encourage residents to use leisure time constructively.
  • Plan and coordinate special events, including barbeques and Family and Friends Day events.
  • Coordinate activities with other program directors to integrate programs across TSINY.
  • Meet with supervisor for regular supervision.
  • Escort residents shopping and provide transportation as needed.
  • Write Medicaid Progress Notes and submit travel vouchers.
  • Participate in staff meetings and attend Agency-wide events.
