Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team at Marathon Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner. As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their families.

• Support veterinarians in ensuring quality veterinary care and advocating for pets
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options
• Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
• Use safe restraining techniques and follow standard protocols to sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs

• Prefer one year of recent experience in a veterinary hospital
• Commitment to working within a team environment
• Positive, will-do attitude
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to multi-task in a busy work setting
