Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* Provide respiratory care services to patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation support, and diagnostic testing
* Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
* Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management
* Conduct diagnostic procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis and EKGs
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment

Requirements:

* Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
* Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
* Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams
