Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Cephas Consultancy Services Private Limited. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing routine and special procedure imaging, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting radiologists as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, observing different and special requirements for each protocol.
  2. Assume responsibilities for designated areas and/or procedures, producing good technical images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
  3. Assist physicians during practice-based procedures as necessary.
  4. Perform equipment Quality assurance and calibrations as needed, ordering supplies.
  5. May be required to work holidays, overtime, and/or day, evening, and overnight shift coverage to maintain adequate and safe coverage for the outpatient facility.
  6. Maintain the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment, and accessories, reporting all malfunctioning equipment to Bio Med or supervisor.
  7. Process images or print CDs as needed.
  8. Perform routine office tasks, such as answering phones, checking-in patients, obtaining previous reports/films, or other related duties as needed.
  9. Show radiologist films and call reports to the attending physician, documenting communications if necessary.
  10. Provide clinical instructions to students.
  11. Treat all people/staff in a professional and courteous manner, upholding our behavioral standards.
  12. Introduce yourself and educate each patient or family member regarding the examination that is ordered.
  13. Be knowledgeable and skillful in providing care based on age, physical, and psychosocial needs of different patient populations.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an allied health education and accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
  • NY State DOH Licensure or Limited Permit required.
  • ARRT registered (RT) and radiograph (R).
  • Continuing education requirements need to be upheld to meet the standards set forth by governing bodies.
  • Current standards are 24 ECE credits over a two-year period depending on year of birth.
  • DOH IV certification preferred or by completion of 6 month orientation.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Radiation dose pledge for both Image Gently and Image Wisely through the American College of Radiology (ACR) will be performed during the orientation process and before the end of the probationary period.
