About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Resources Engineer-in-Training to join our team. As a key member of our urban water resources team, you will work on a variety of projects, including sewer and water planning, modeling, and design. Your expertise will be essential in helping us deliver sustainable solutions to our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant civil engineering elements, including system hydraulics, surveying, and topographic mapping, geotechnical considerations, grading, utility investigations, and analyses.
  • Assist the team in preparing analyses and results for client presentations and technical reports.
  • Assist the team in preparing design drawings, specifications, quantity estimates, cost opinions, and gather information to support design decisions.
  • Conduct basic calculations and perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned and under the supervision of a project engineer.
  • Complete design tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading and site layout for various projects.
  • Perform GIS analyses to support engineering and technical decisions and presentations.
  • Prepare design reports and technical memorandums to summarize engineering tasks.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary design teams in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
  • Assist the team in providing support services during construction, including submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and contract document clarifications.
  • May perform field work related to collection systems.
  • Assist in supporting the civil team in providing support services during capital improvement planning, including data reviews, research, hydraulic analyses, and requests for information from different agencies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
