Medical Office Assistant

This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about healthcare and eager to make a difference in the lives of our patients. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks, including:
- Obtaining accurate and updated patient information
- Performing insurance verification and obtaining patient signatures for required documents
- Filing and maintaining medical records
- Confirming and scheduling appointments
- Following the Cash Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelines

Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare-related experience
- Intermediate computer proficiency (multi-tasking through multiple applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience working in a medical front office position, performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records
- Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
- Knowledge of medical terms
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with healthcare providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range:
$16.00 to $28.27 per hour
