Staff Attorney / HR Consultant

At ProService Hawaii, we're seeking a highly skilled Staff Attorney to join our team of HR and labor law experts. As a trusted HR advisor, you'll provide strategic and tactical guidance to minimize regulatory exposure for our clients. Your expertise will help keep our clients up-to-date with HR regulatory compliance changes and share that knowledge with our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal services on an internal basis, including contract reviews, drafting legal documents, and similar legal work as requested.
  • Conduct compliance and best practices research on behalf of clients, focusing on topics such as HR best practices, claim mitigation, regulatory compliance, and development of company handbook policies and procedures.
  • Minimize risk exposure by ensuring solutions minimize regulatory actions and lawsuits, and assist with workplace investigations responding to internal and external complaints.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support client solutions and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:
  • Law degree from an accredited university.
  • Admitted to the Hawaii bar or able to pass the Hawaii Bar Exam upon relocation.
  • Prior experience working with multiple industries and varying levels of leadership within an organization.
  • HR experience in consulting, compliance, or management is preferred.
  • Certifications such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are a plus.
