POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is essential to the Transportation Team, focusing on the delivery and logistics of goods. As a Truck Operator, your responsibilities will encompass transporting products along designated routes using a commercial vehicle, executing deliveries and pickups at various educational sites and storage facilities, and maintaining effective communication with management and dispatch teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely drive a heavy-duty or tractor-trailer vehicle.
  • Load and unload freight efficiently.
  • Accurately maintain and document activity logs.
  • Report any discrepancies or incidents to dispatch promptly.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to mitigate risks and injuries.
  • Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Uphold safe working practices at all times.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience in truck driving or related fields.
  • Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Capability to manage a physically demanding workload.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License, DOT Medical Certificate, and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (10 years history).
  • 10-year DMV driving record history with no more than 2 points.
  • Experience with touch freight is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 1 year of driving experience (required).
  • CDL A certification (required).
