Role Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to engage in a rapidly expanding startup focused on developing innovative models that enhance our data processing capabilities and enable us to introduce new features to the market with unmatched speed and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • NLP Algorithm Development: Spearhead the design and execution of cutting-edge NLP algorithms, concentrating on information extraction, entity resolution, and disambiguation.
  • Model Training and Optimization: Construct and refine large language models for diverse NLP applications, enhancing their performance for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Data Preprocessing and Feature Engineering: Collaborate with data engineering teams to preprocess and create features from extensive datasets to boost machine learning model performance.
  • Entity Resolution and Disambiguation: Lead the creation of solutions addressing entity resolution and disambiguation challenges, ensuring precise identification of entities within unstructured text.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work alongside product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate machine learning models into comprehensive solutions.
  • Research and Innovation: Keep up with the latest developments in NLP and machine learning, actively contributing to research efforts to enhance our technology stack.
  • Code Review and Mentorship: Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and mentor junior members of the machine learning team.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in machine learning, particularly in NLP.
  • Demonstrated expertise in information extraction, entity resolution, and disambiguation.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and relevant machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Experience with deep learning architectures, especially those applied to NLP tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in computer science or a related field.
  • Experience in training and deploying large language models.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and distributed computing.
  • Knowledge of modern ML Ops tools such as Modal, Weights and Biases, Sagemaker, etc.
