Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia evaluations of patients to identify potential risks and develop a personalized anesthesia plan.
  • Administer a range of anesthetics, including intravenous, spinal, and other medications, to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during and after anesthesia.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Document patient records accurately and thoroughly, in accordance with Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and an accredited school of anesthesia.
  • Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in California.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
