We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse for a 13-week assignment in California. As a Travel Nurse Across America team member, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and supportive staff while providing exceptional patient care.
Job SummaryThis Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN position offers a challenging and rewarding experience for a seasoned nurse. You will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring patients in a fast-paced ICU setting, providing direct care, documenting patient information, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and monitor patients in the ICU setting, prioritizing their needs based on severity and urgency.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain open communication with patients, families, and colleagues, addressing concerns and questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- 2+ years of recent acute care experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
- Current RN licensure and relevant certifications (e.g., ACLS, BLS).
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
