Role Summary: The Project Manager, OSP Construction will oversee the quality, budget, and timely delivery of fiber services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor construction projects, providing guidance and feedback.
- Interpret contract documents, drawings, and specifications related to telecommunications infrastructure.
- Conduct site visits and surveys, document existing conditions, and develop scopes of work.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
- Manage various Outside Plant (OSP) construction methods, including structured cabling and aerial operations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Create and manage project schedules in coordination with stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with customers and municipal agencies to resolve issues.
- Monitor project performance and implement quality control measures.
- Oversee project closeout documentation and participate in regular meetings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within OSP, including engineering and construction.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Experience with federal, state, and local government projects is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent is preferred.
