  • Possess a solid understanding of earthwork principles, including excavation protocols, erosion control measures, material compaction, and dewatering techniques.
  • Manage the submittal and review process for shop drawings, ensuring all necessary documentation is approved prior to commencing work.
  • Coordinate work sequencing and provide input for 3-week look-ahead schedules, communicating daily updates and potential impacts to field engineers.
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractors to align with project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of site safety for all personnel.
  • Proactively identify issues and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Monitor work quality to ensure adherence to contract documents and maintain rigorous quality control measures.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the heavy civil construction sector.
  • Experience in Earthwork, Underground, Concrete, and Asphalt paving is essential.
  • Knowledge of structural projects is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze contract documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in conducting job site progress meetings.
  • Ability to effectively manage in-house crews and subcontractors.
  • Competence in performing accurate project take-offs.
  • Familiarity with industry practices, processes, and standards.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and other legal requirements.
