Production Porter

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Day Porter to join our team at The Chefs' Warehouse. As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant working environment for employees and visitors.

• Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and warehouse spaces.
• Empty trash and recyclables, and consolidate trash for weekly pickup.
• Service and clean restrooms, including restocking supplies and cleaning fixtures.
• Clean walls, racks, and equipment, and mix cleaning solutions as needed.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Monitor building security and safety, and perform tasks such as locking doors after operating hours.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or using hand trucks.
• Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs.
• Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow blowers and shovels.
• Set up and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding for events.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
