Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Breast Imaging Radiologist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations, including ultrasound of breasts and biopsies, MRI's, and monitoring the quality of diagnostic interpretations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including ultrasound of breasts and biopsies, MRI's, and other procedures as needed.
  • Monitor the quality of diagnostic interpretations and ensure that they meet the highest standards.
  • Pre-screen high-risk, high-cost, and high-demand examinations to ensure that they are clinically indicated and safe.
  • Order CT and MRI examinations in a timely manner and document interpretations, procedures, and healthcare decisions in the electronic medical record.
  • Examine, evaluate, and manage patients referred for radiology consultations and procedures as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
  • Board certification in Radiology preferred, but board eligibility may also be considered.
  • Additional board certification in Internal Medicine is preferred.
