Position Overview:

The selected candidate will:

  • Act as a key consultant on all matters related to information systems, particularly focusing on the security of classified information systems.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of systems and networks within the designated environment, identifying deviations from acceptable configurations and policies through both passive and active assessments.
  • Implement stringent program control measures to mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with certification and accreditation processes. This includes supporting various activities such as analysis, coordination, security testing, documentation, and audits.
  • Assist in the application of necessary government policies, offering recommendations for process improvements and participating in relevant documentation activities.
  • Perform analyses to confirm established security requirements and propose additional safeguards as necessary.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) processes required by government authorities, including preparation, participation, result analysis, and report generation.
  • Document the outcomes of Certification and Accreditation activities, along with technical coordination efforts, and maintain the system Security Plans and the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Regularly review system audits and monitor corrective actions until resolution.
  • Oversee weekly audits of information systems security.
  • Manage security configurations and account administration.
  • Evaluate documentation related to system security plans.
  • Engage in continuous security monitoring.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
  • Candidates must possess a current DOD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Current IAM Level 2 Security Certification (CAP, CASP CE, CISM).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IAM DoD level 3 certifications (CISM, GSLC, CISSP or CISSP Associate).
  • Security + certification.
