We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Property Development division at Life Time Inc. As an Electrical Systems Expert, you will provide in-house functional engineering expertise relating to Electrical, Lighting, and Control Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Standards: Create and maintain standards for Electrical, Lighting, and Automatic Control system design to ensure consistent designs and improve energy consumption.
- Coordinate with Design Consultants: Collaborate with outside design consultants to provide consistent designs across multiple design firms.
- Quality Control Reviews: Perform quality control reviews of progress prints and final construction documents for adherence to Life Time standards.
- Commissioning Program Development: Coordinate with an outside commissioning consultant to develop and maintain a commissioning standard for electrical systems at new facilities.
- System Evaluation and Troubleshooting: Perform existing system evaluation and troubleshoot system issues when they arise.
- Collaboration with Architecture and Construction Teams: Collaborate with Life Time Architecture to understand space program and business owner's unique needs, and provide integrated solutions.
- Energy Modeling and Analysis: Develop and analyze energy models for use in recommending energy saving strategies.
- Construction Administration: Perform construction administration services including responding to questions, reviewing and documenting installed conditions and deficiencies.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Electrical Design: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Electrical design from an accredited program.
- 7-10 Years of Experience: 7 to 10 years experience in system design with multiple types of building electrical systems.
- Commissioning and Energy Standards Experience: Experience with Commissioning and Energy Standards.
- Budget Goal Achievement: 5+ years of experience of achieving budget goals.
- Site Investigation and Communication Skills: Ability to perform site investigation activities to document existing conditions, including traversing ladders for roof and ceiling space access, and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical disciplines.
- Project Management and Construction Administration Experience: Project management and construction administration experience.
- Familiarity with Design Software: Familiarity with REVIT MEP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office products, lighting design software Visual/AGI, Elum Tools.
- Short Circuit Analysis Tools Experience: Experience with short circuit software analysis tools similar to SKM Systems Analysis, Inc. software.
