Job Title: Application Engineer

Knowhirematch is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial to the seamless operation and advancement of our firm's enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Management: Integrate, update, administer, and support a variety of firm management applications, including finance tools, practice-specific software, and marketing platforms.
  • System Administration: Oversee the underlying platforms, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with different departments during system upgrades and projects, identifying and communicating potential risks.
  • Maintenance & Optimization: Participate in month-end tasks, including Windows updates, SQL maintenance, query optimization, and security patching.
  • Documentation & Support: Document system configurations, integrations, and processes, including backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Innovation & Research: Stay ahead of the curve by researching and evaluating new tools and technologies to enhance our current application stack.
Requirements:
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of SQL administration, data queries, and reporting is essential. Experience with Windows Server administration, XML/XSLT transformations, and scripting languages is highly desirable.
  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience managing and operating accounting, time tracking, billing, and management software in a legal or professional services environment is strongly preferred.
  • Problem-Solving: Solid technical foundation with proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex issues independently.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, with the ability to effectively engage with staff across varying levels of technical expertise.
