Job Title: Compounder

Location: Plainsboro, NJ

Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general compounding assistance for small-scale perfumery projects, supporting both local and international formulations.
  • Accurately prepare fragrance mixtures by weighing precise quantities of ingredients using automated systems.
  • Ensure all materials meet quality standards and are within their shelf life.
  • Execute additional laboratory and project tasks as assigned by Lab Supervisors.
  • Maintain an orderly collection of raw materials.
  • Assist with overflow tasks during peak production periods.
  • Keep the laboratory and workspace clean and well-organized.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest practical solutions in line with Lean Management principles.
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) procedures while actively contributing to lab safety improvements.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety protocols.
  • Independently and efficiently use internal tools for data collection, recording, and administrative tasks.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and relevant issues impacting the role.
  • Contribute to team objectives by actively participating as a team member to achieve collective goals.
Qualifications

Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience in a production or manufacturing setting.
Experience:
  • 0-5 years in a laboratory or compounding environment.
Skills:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Detail-oriented and service-focused to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adjust priorities as necessary.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to change.
  • Foster and support a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Strong communication abilities.
