Job Responsibilities

The Hydro Vac Operator is responsible for operating the Super Vacuum Truck to transport and dispose of various fluids related to oil field operations, including fresh water, brine water, frac fluids, and drilling mud. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency in all operations.

Key Duties Include:

  • Utilizing high-pressure pumps and controls effectively.
  • Monitoring equipment gauges and signals to ensure operational safety.
  • Handling hoses and pipe connections safely and efficiently.
  • Adhering to safe operating procedures and equipment specifications.
  • Ensuring proper loading and securing of shipments.
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Documenting all transactions accurately and maintaining driver records.
  • Driving courteously and making timely deliveries.
  • Collaborating with procurement for efficient operations.
  • Representing the company positively while in uniform.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a CDL A driver.
  • Possession of a valid CDL A license.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Tanker and HazMat endorsements are preferred.
  • Compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier D.O.T. requirements.
  • Current D.O.T. medical certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to interpret driving routes and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • CDL certification from an accredited driving school is preferred.
  • Experience in the energy sector is advantageous.
