We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Ammo Inc. As an Entry Level Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of innovative tools and equipment.

This role is perfect for individuals with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for problem-solving. You will work closely with our experienced team to create detailed 3D solid models, analyze tooling and machine designs, and provide maintenance and repair guidance to ensure optimal performance.

Essential Job Functions:

Design and Improvement:

Modify and enhance equipment, mechanisms, and tooling for new product and process development. Create detailed 3D solid models and ensure compliance with Ammo Inc. standards.

Analysis and Testing:

Use advanced software and methods (FEA, engineering formulas) to verify tooling and machine designs under various conditions. Apply knowledge of part forming to avoid design issues.

Project Support:

Assist in project planning, status updates, and fabrication/assembly of tooling and equipment. Provide maintenance and repair guidance to ensure optimal performance.

Failure Analysis:

Analyze tooling failures, recommend design improvements, and provide technical data for quotations and compliance.

Collaboration and Development:

Offer feedback on design feasibility, contribute to tooling and equipment development, and establish standards to improve tool manufacturing and performance.

Engineering Support:

Direct the Tool Design team, evaluate tooling options, and support the smooth integration of new work into production. Participate in continual improvement processes and follow EHS procedures.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Skills and Experience:
  • 1-2 years of engineering experience in metalworking or manufacturing automation
  • High mechanical aptitude and ability to visualize tooling and equipment configurations
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and project management skills
  • Proficient in math, problem-solving, and detailed, accurate work
  • Experience in industrial settings preferred
  • Ability to establish effective relationships, influence change, and make quick, accurate decisions
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to read, write, and perform calculations
