Position Overview:
The role involves the ordering, collection, transport, receipt, processing, and distribution of blood and other clinical specimens within the clinical laboratory, microbiology, and pathology departments.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Laboratory Manager and Director.
Employment Classification:
Non-exempt
Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Certification:
ASCP or equivalent Phlebotomy certification is preferred.
Skills Required:
This position demands critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to operate with minimal supervision. Candidates must be capable of functioning effectively in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions when necessary.
Fingerprint Clearance Card must be initiated upon hire; the card should be submitted within 60 days after employment.
