Job Description

As a Mechanical Designer at ProEnergy Services, you will be responsible for designing and routing piping systems, layouts or modeling 3D equipment items for power plant systems including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems. You will also plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and route piping systems, layouts or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems.
  • Plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations.
  • Understand and develop the capability of quality checking in the 3D models for interferences and constructability optimizations.
  • Resolve comments on checked drawings; understand and implement the comments made.
  • Complete as-builts by utilizing RFIs, ECNs and red-marked drawings from construction to develop "Conformed to Construction Records" as required.
  • Seek ways to improve customer satisfaction, the quality of the work product, and operating efficiencies.
  • Help develop, review, and implement guidelines and procedures to ensure design standardization and templating of our PowerFLX work.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology and industry practices and find practical applications.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in drafting technology, design or related fields or High School Diploma with Relevant coursework/experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in related work experience.
  • Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
  • Basic understanding of design software such as: E3D, Plant 3D, Smartplant 3D, CADWORX Plant Pro, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.

Estimated Salary:$85,000-$110,000 per year.

Location:The position can be based in one of our offices in Missouri, Texas, or Kansas City metro area.
