Position: Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer

Overview
Drive Engineering Corp. is actively looking for a dedicated Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer with 5-10 years of expertise in various tasks related to ITS design, plan formulation, plan assessment, specification drafting, and technical documentation. The primary responsibilities of this role will encompass plan formulation, evaluations, design calculations, field assessments, technical writing, and construction services associated with diverse facets of ITS and Systems Engineering.

Job Type
Full-time (40 hours/week); includes PTO and benefits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • EIT certification with the capability to secure a PE license within two years
  • Undergraduate coursework related to ITS, electrical wiring, and/or communications network design
  • Exceptional time management and communication abilities
  • Familiarity with PANYNJ/PennDOT standards, MUTCD, and AASHTO guidelines
  • General experience with Mid-Atlantic DOTs and/or Tolling Agencies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel for project meetings and field assessments (Mid-Atlantic Region)
