About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Pathology Assistant to join our pathology department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting pathologists and laboratory operations by performing technical and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, anatomy, and pathology procedures, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist pathologists in preparing and performing post-mortem examinations (autopsies) and surgical pathology procedures.
  2. Prepare surgical specimens for examination, including gross description, dissection, and sampling for microscopic analysis.
  3. Perform macroscopic examination of specimens and accurately document findings.
  4. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of specimens according to laboratory protocols.
  5. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments used in pathology procedures.
  6. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of laboratory solutions and reagents.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pathology laboratory and work areas.
  8. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to facilitate effective patient care and diagnosis.
Compensation and Benefits

Magnet Medical offers competitive compensation packages for our travel assignments. This position comes with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined, based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
