As a Registered Nurse I in our Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse range of patients with serious medical, cardiac, and cardiac surgical disorders or complications. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver uncompromised care in an environment of clinical excellence, collaboration, diversity, teamwork, and mutual respect.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments
- Observe and maintain records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress
- Participate as primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in the planning and implementing of patient care
- Offer leadership and direction to all support staff within the department
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
- One-year experience in nursing preferred
Unit Specific Requirements:
- NIHSS required within 90 days of hire/transfer date
- EKG within 90 days of hire/transfer date
- TNCC required within 18 months of hire/transfer date
- ENPC or PALS required within 18 months of hire/transfer date
