Dedicated Regional Class A Truck Driver Position for a Home Daily Experience

Salary Information:
- We offer a competitive salary of $1400 or more per week
- In addition to a weekly base pay, our drivers also earn $0.62 per mile to $1.35 per mile based on the length of their trips, with an average of 1200-1700 miles per week
- Our drivers also receive $21.00 per stop, with an average of 2-4 stops per day
- Additionally, they can earn up to $50 per night in per diem pay, depending on their specific route and schedule
Job Description:
As a regional Class A truck driver with Ryder System, you will be responsible for transporting goods over short to medium distances, typically within a 500-mile radius of Pearl River, LA. Your routes may vary depending on the needs of our customers, but you can expect to be home every day except for one possible layover per week.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- You must be at least 21 years old and have a valid CDL-A license
- You should have at least 9 months of experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past three years, or two years of experience within the last five years, or five years of experience within the last ten years
- You must pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
- You must also pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions that prioritize safety and efficiency
