We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Procedure Scheduler to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for scheduling surgical and pre-operative procedures, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling and Coordination: Register and schedule patients for surgical and pre-operative procedures, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling.
- Patient Communication: Inform patients of their financial responsibilities, provide procedural information and instructions, and answer incoming patient inquiries.
- Pre-Certification and Insurance Verification: Obtain and/or facilitate pre-certification as required, and verify patient insurance information to ensure seamless care.
- Calendar Management: Maintain accurate calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre-operative procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years previous healthcare experience, with a focus on customer service and scheduling.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
