Inpatient Nursing Relief Supervisor

The Inpatient Nursing Relief Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the provision of nursing care to patients within the healthcare facility. This position involves:

  • Coordinating Nursing Services: Ensure effective delivery of nursing services across various departments to meet patient needs.
  • Staff Management: Maintain adequate nursing personnel by efficiently managing nursing resources.
  • Bed Assignment Coordination: Facilitate and manage bed assignments throughout the hospital to optimize patient flow.
  • Collaboration with Departments: Work closely with department managers to streamline patient movement and enhance care delivery.

Additionally, the supervisor will assist the Directors of Nursing and Nurse Managers in ongoing staff development, human resource management, and the promotion of high-quality patient care. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Mandatory)
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Mandatory)
  • Relevant education and experience may be considered as a substitute for formal qualifications.
Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Care environment (Mandatory)
  • Previous experience in a clinical management position is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (Mandatory)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification (Mandatory)
  • Valid PA Registered Nurse License (Mandatory)
