As a Pediatric Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to children and adolescents. Your expertise will be essential in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of psychological and behavioral issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including interviews, observations, and standardized tests, to identify underlying issues and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and adolescents, using evidence-based approaches to promote positive change and improve mental health outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement program evaluations to assess the effectiveness of clinical procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in pediatric psychology and maintain expertise in areas such as child development, behavioral health, and trauma-informed care.
- Doctorate degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- At least two years of post-graduate experience in a behavioral health setting, or a pre-doctoral internship, post-doctoral internship, or fellowship at Kaiser Permanente.
- Current licensure as a Psychologist in California.
- Internship in an APA-approved program.
