Portfolio Manager III Job Description

First Western is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager III to lead our investment management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive solutions to high-net-worth clients, exceeding their financial goals, and building trusted relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investment management clients, working closely with colleagues to build strong client relationships.
  • Provide timely responses to client investment inquiries and requests, ensuring client satisfaction through adherence to client segment service standards.
  • Support the growth and development of the Profit Center's investment portfolio by partnering with the team to advise prospective, new, and existing clients on holistic investment strategies.
  • Identify and introduce new opportunities to the office through individual networking and consultative selling, contributing to the overall annual office non-interest income fee growth goal.
  • Coordinate preparation of RFPs, investment sales presentations, and other materials as necessary, ensuring seamless client onboarding and new account opening.
  • Develop asset allocation strategies for clients, in compliance with enterprise-wide recommendations and First Western Trust Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
  • Maintain asset allocation discipline, producing cash flow and wealth planning tools to enhance client relationships and expand Bank wallet share.
  • Drive investment product strategies and initiatives as appropriate, collaborating with the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist with new associate training and onboarding, mentoring other Portfolio Managers and Investment Associates, and participating in joint calling efforts.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills.
  • Experience with CRM preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • High initiative and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Able to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and self-start.

  • A competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $137,000 - $206,000 per year, with strong bonus potential.
