Work Schedule: Full-Time
Work Shift: Daytime (5 days/8-hour shifts) - No on-call, weekends, or holidays required
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and guidelines of the healthcare organization.
Key Contributions to the Team:
• Develops and oversees patient care plans. Observes, documents, and communicates patient status as necessary.
• Acts as the primary liaison among various disciplines to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Executes and follows through on physician and nursing directives.
• Evaluates and coordinates the discharge planning needs of patients with the healthcare team.
Qualifications Required:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred or currently enrolled in a BSN program; must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire.
· BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) must be obtained prior to employment or transfer.
· Registered Nurse licensure from the Illinois Board of Nursing must be secured before employment or transfer.
· Prior experience in PACU or Critical Care is strongly preferred.
