This position involves collaboration with diverse teams to develop advanced systems addressing national security challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement real-time signal processing software.
- Conduct detailed analysis of complex datasets, including diagnostics and forensics.
- Design and create applications and tools for system planning and acoustic performance evaluation.
- Potentially lead technical projects and engage in customer-facing roles, including hands-on testing of technologies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Solid foundation in digital signal processing, including detection and estimation theory, constrained optimization, adaptive beamforming, and Kalman filtering.
  • Proficient in MATLAB; familiarity with Python and C/C++ is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of undersea acoustic physics, signal propagation, and noise characteristics.
  • Experience with acoustic modeling software such as CASS/GRAB, Bellhop, and SST.
  • Proven track record in systems integration and performance evaluation in both laboratory and marine environments.

Educational Background:

Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Physics, accompanied by 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Preferred:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Physics, with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
